Question by Matt M: How to clean blanket used for our dog?
We have a heavy blanket that our dog sits on in the car (to protect the seats) but it’s beginning to smell like a dog.

How can we wash or clean it? It’s too large for a home washing machine and the laundramat has signs saying no pet blankets/beds/etc.
Heavy, meaning a bit ober 1/2 inch thick with “fluffy” cloth material on one side and stiff material that looks like super-dense burlap on the back. It’s about 10×10 foot. Just a bit too big and heavy for our home washer, it would physically fit but the material doesn’t fold/flex, it just jams the agitator or pushes the lid up and stops.

Frankly, I would still put it in the laundry mat washer but only after you brush off all of the dog hairs.

Question by XXIV: How to make a blanket stick to the wall?
OK this is quite a stupid question haha but is there any way to stick a thick blanket thing to the wall? =P i just want to take some photos of my dog and the blanket would be a perfect background. So yeah is there any way to do it without wreking the wall? =P

Staple it up! Then apply white toothpaste to the small holes and wipe away excess.

I use a product called “bitter apple.” This prevents my dog from chewing on her blanket, my shoes, and the furniture. This spray makes whatever it is sprayed on taste terrible, preventing the dog from putting whatever it is in their mouth. I have also never noticed any fabric discoloration as well, making this a great product.

It may also be that she’s not ready to go to bed and seeking an excuse just like kids that don’t want to go to bed even though they’re tired. When our dog was younger, he had a similar behavior with a favorite toy. It lasted until he was about two. He also used to be really willing to perform all kinds of tricks and would give spontaneous displays when it was “time for bed.” Now, I think he’s older and just about always ready for bed.
