Question by caroline: Favorite games to play with your ferret?
I was wondering what peoples favorite games where to play with their pet ferrets? I got a ferret recently and he’s very cute and fun. Sometimes I tickle his stomache and if he’s on my lap on some material I’ll roll him around and he enjoys that. He like chewing on his blankets.

Question by : Our beagle pees in his kennel (on his blankets), any suggestions how to overcome this issue?
We got Dexter when he was 1.5, he wasn’t house trained when we got him. We purchased a nice size kennel for him, soft blankets and keep the kennel in the laundry room in the evenings and while we work. We have been working with him for nearly 2 months! He hasn’t messed in the house but continues to pee in his kennel, not every night/day, but most. We feed him consistently, take him out consistently but still have such variance in our success. He also cries, scratches and whines almost every night. AAAHHH, we would love some advise from someone who has gone through this. This is our first “house training” …. of a pet anyway and I never thought raising 2 boys would be easier than this!

The kennel should only be big enough for him to stand in it, if it is bigger they will pee. If it’s big enough for him to stand but no bigger he will not go to the bathroom because he won’t want to sit in it. You have to ignore the crying, the more you pay attention when he does it, the more he will do it.

Question by dandelion: Dog licks blankets, eats dirt & eats other dog’s pooey- lacking something nutritionally?
Any ideas of why my dog eats our other dog’s pooey. She also likes to dig in the mud and then eats it. Lately she will sit and lick a pillow, blanket, or her bed cushion for 10 min. or so at a time. It’s saturated with saliva.
Do you think she may be lacking something?

seems that lots of dogs do that—my neighbor little dog eats it then eats grass then digs and scratches the ground-sticks her muzzle in the hole and bite’s the dirt. she told vet and he laughed
