Question by hitomi k: How to convince a mother to NOT get a pet for the fourth time. Previous 3 her children killed…?
I told her to please reconsider getting a pet, and she claims that if i say that it means i don’t love her kids. I do, but i also love animals as well. When her children are 6 and 7, already has had three pets that are now dead you’d think she’d get the picture… One child was throwing a hamster against the wall until it died for example.

theres probably no way you can convince her,but you could try to teach the kids how to be nice to animals,and if they continue and end up torturing them when theyre older,thats a sign of a future serial killer,so you should keep an eye on that,but with young kids they usually dont know any better and need to be taught.

I’m intrested in getting some pet mice, I heard they were really easy to care for and so much fun. If you could give me some basic info on them it would be great!

Hi,
Mice can be great pets,
The best enclosure I’ve used is an aquarium with a mesh lid. (the lid is impotant because they can climb and jump) Usually cages have bars mice can squeeze through (if its over 1/4″ forget it they will get out).

Best to start with 2 girls (or more depending on tank size, as a rule 5 gallons per mouse when using aquariums) They are social and will get depressed when housed alone. Females hardly smell, usually they only are smelly if you don’t regularly change their tank once a week, of have too many in one tank.

If you get a boy just to warn you the reek, they mark and its a terrible odor. Males need to be housed seperately because they are territorial and will fight.

Don’t mix a tank you will have too many mice really fast (a litter can easily be 16 pinkies)

Lab blocks are a great balanced diet, Harlan Teklad is one of the best, Mazuri is not bad either. Avoid Kaytee (it has a preservative linked to cancer)

how do you throw a party on webkinz. Because i’m going to have one tommorow (august 3) it’s my pets b-day. So bring a nice exclusive/rare present there will be great goody bags.
