No, do not seperate them. The older dog is showing the limits to the pups. You need to be there in case a repremand is needed but the pups need to learn that the older dog is maintaining is status as top dog. Snapping is okay it is his way of communicating a dislike of behavior. Contact a behaviorist and ask for more specific things to look for to make sure that this is just a settling in stuff and just keep an eye out when they are together but don’t keep them seperated because then they will become territorial and then you will have more problems.

This girl was once loved and lived in a home with a couple, even sleeping with them in their bed at night. The woman discovered she was pregnant and they dumped the dog at the pound, stating they did not care what happened to her. This pup would have been put to sleep tomorrow morning had a man named Ryan from Denver not made the trip all the way to Burns Flat, Oklahoma to pick her up today. She is now safe in Colorado Springs, CO. where she will be fostered until a forever home can be found.

This beautiful girl’s name is Bryndelyn. She is scared, timid, and shy, and likely really confused; first at an outdoor shelter – not understanding why, a long trip by car (fearfully ducking when passing bridges), and now a new home that’s just temporary. Add to this, she has recently had a litter of puppies.She will be spayed as soon as she settles into her new surroundings. She didn’t do anything wrong, except to have irresponsible selfish owners. Can you find it in your heart to love her and give her the real love and security she deserves? Please share this with anyone who may need a best friend and all the loving they could ever ask for!

Awe..it sounds like he might have a teething/mouth problem. Maybe he likes to suck on blankets but when he does it hurts something in his mouth? No, I don’t think you should take it away. Or maybe it’s just his way of asking someone to pay attention to him?

You see, Snoopy is a rescue dog. We were told that some rich people in Tennessee bought him as an 8-week old puppy for their drug-addled teenager from a very high-end breeder, though we weren’t told which one. Well, that rocket-science plan worked for about a week, until the kid took the pup and hit the rails on a cross-country drug adventure. No, I don’t know the drug, though I have reason to believe it wasn’t anything as benign as Cannabis x spp.

When we got him, Snoopy had been tearfully given up just a day before, having eaten nothing but corn dogs and chili for several months, while riding the rails. He’d been to NYC, Miami, Chicago, New Orleans, Los Angeles, Seattle and all points in between. Beyond that, we know very little, though my psychic friend said he was used for begging and left with several different women while the owner and other persons went on "the drug run." Plausible enough — more plausible than fascinating mental powers, in fact.

Regardless, you could see all his bones and some of his internal organs, though his was still quite muscular thanks to good breeding. I guess ,500 will get someone a very well-built pup — I know I’ll never be able to afford such a pup new, but he moves like a thoroughbred. He’s faster than any dashchund I’ve ever seen, including those professional racers, and I’m not kidding even a little bit. He moves like quicksilver.

That said, I don’t really know why the kid gave him up. A moment of clarity perhaps? Perhaps it had something to do with some sort of abuse he’d suffered and not wanted to tell the Dashchund lady about. I suspect he was going to be staying the the Gospel Mission and was told that he couldn’t bring the dog. I don’t know. I do know that he had a big gash on his nose and a big blood-spot in the corner of one eye that just cleared up — not that the two are related, but I continue to speculate.

I thought when we first brought Snoopy home (yes, I know he’s not a beagle — that’s just his name) that he seemed to miss the rails, and he watched the doors for the first few days, but I think he’s forgotten all about it, preferring to have a home, blanket, bed and squeeky toy that doesn’t change from day to day. In fact, he’s such a superstar that we went down and got him a new collar with big stars on it — very handsome!

I can’t believe I ever lived without him. What a good dog! He follows me everywhere and just like a normal dog, wants to please me. I’d almost forgotten after 7 years of Zelda. As if to remind me, she bit my hands up so bad when I tried to comb her a few days ago, I could hardly hold a toothbrush or type for a while.

Good ol’ Zelda — beautiful, bitchy and deadly. They call her a dapple, but we all know she’s a redhead at heart. Snoopy, the ever hopeful and friendly dog he is, keeps trying to melt her black, flabby heart. I figure he’s got about 10 years and his work cut out for him.
