Help Dog, Bryndelyn, she needs a home…
Pet Care

This girl was once loved and lived in a home with a couple, even sleeping with them in their bed at night. The woman discovered she was pregnant and they dumped the dog at the pound, stating they did not care what happened to her. This pup would have been put to sleep tomorrow morning had a man named Ryan from Denver not made the trip all the way to Burns Flat, Oklahoma to pick her up today. She is now safe in Colorado Springs, CO. where she will be fostered until a forever home can be found.

This beautiful girl’s name is Bryndelyn. She is scared, timid, and shy, and likely really confused; first at an outdoor shelter – not understanding why, a long trip by car (fearfully ducking when passing bridges), and now a new home that’s just temporary. Add to this, she has recently had a litter of puppies. She will be spayed as soon as she settles into her new surroundings. She didn’t do anything wrong, except to have irresponsible selfish owners. Can you find it in your heart to love her and give her the real love and security she deserves? Please share this with anyone who may need a best friend and all the loving they could ever ask for!

Pictures of Finnegan who lived with me and took care of me through my 20s, 30s and into my 40s.

He was truly one of a kind.

He passed over gently on September 1, 2009 surrounded by people who loved him very much. krissisandvik.blogspot.com/2009/09/kitty-kismet.html

Question by :) Domenica:): Would i be a good pet owner?
I love puppies and am getting a yorkie soon.I Plan to play with him at least 20minutes before i go to school and hours after i come home.I plan to bathe him once a week and brush his hair twice a week.I plan to let him sleep in the garage with a pillow and blanket.I plan to take him for walks every afternoon and teach him tricks and i plan to never slap him just yell at him =]

You will need to change a few things and then you will be set. Only bathe him no more than once a month. A bath every week will dry out his coat and cause skin conditions.. A dog that small should sleep in the house, especially in cold weather. He will need to be brushed at least twice a week and more if his coat is long. Get a book on Yorkies and read up on what they require and how to house train them. With lots of love, and time spent with your new puppy, you will make and excellent dog owner. By the way, never yell at your dog. Talk to him sternly if he is naughty. Have fun with your new puppy.

Nope you don’t have to, most puppies feel comfortable being near you and seeing you.

Question by kalamibe: Why do laws continue to allow pet stores to sell puppies?
Wouldn’t passing a law that prohibited the sale of puppies at stores make a huge impact in shutting down puppy mills? Why is this legal? You always hear politicans talking about animal rights, why don’t they do something about it and make it illegal for stores to sell puppies??!! And, why, when shows like Dateline & 20/20 do undercover investigations of these puppy mills, don’t they bring cops with them to shut them down, arrest and throw in jail the cold-hearted people that run them? Obviously it’s going to take more than telling people “don’t buy a puppy at a pet store” for this madness to stop. For every person who decides to not buy from a store, there is always somebody who will.

Unfortunately, people tend to be more concerned for human convenience, comfort, and profit than the rights and welfare of non-human animals. We’ve got to keep fighting to change this, though.
