Question by Jem: How can I remove pet stains from carpet?
I just moved into a new apartment. It has white carpet. My dog was a little scared and nervous and he threw up on the carpet the first night. I immediately cleaned it. I used my normal pet stain cleaner, it didn’t budge. I went out and bought oxi-clean, didn’t budge. I borrowed a friends carpet cleaner, it faded a little. Any suggestions? I don’t want to be charged for damaged carpet, plus its right in the middle of the floor.

Puppy vomit is really not that hard. Tide stain remover. (It’s not cheap). Let it soak a bit. Follow the directions. It will clean it right up. Keep the bottle for future accidents!!

Bella died with out me there…
They buried her without me.
I came home and my mom said:
“Honey Bella’s dead.”
I thought it was a sick joke until they showed me the grave.
That was June 28, 2008.
I’m still crying.
She had big brown eyes, and caramel fur.
She could feel what I felt,
And from the very beginning she was living up to her name.
Bella, beautiful.

Question by d4cav_dragoons_wife84: Pet Neglect?
I have noticed for the last 2 weeks a pet belonging to a resident of our 4 plex has been living outside on the second story porch with no food, little water, no shelter and a few soiled blankets to lay on. The entire porch is covered in feces and urine, and this is an untreated wooden porch. Another friend of mine has already called it in a week ago, but it appears this person hasn’t changed a thing. It’s the middle of winter and we live in Kansas. It’s cold and wet out! Should I report this again? I have pictures of the living conditions and I hate seeing any pet suffer like that.
The situation has been reported once before this time and all the owner did was sweep the feces off the porch. This dog is a puppy, a pitt bull pup who is just the sweetest dog you’ll ever meet. I have called it in and hopefully they will take a more swift, direct action this time.

Question by D P: My dog is licking and pawing a blanket, almost like she is suckling?
She is a 1 year old chihuahua/terrier mix. We got her from the SPCA, so we are unsure of her puppy history. We have had her for 3 months now, and this is the first we saw it.
She had a section of it between her paws and was licking and almost sucking on it very intently. She was also spreading and closing her paws like a cat.

Since you don’t know about her puppy history it could be possible she was taken away from her mother too young. Our dog that we got was 6 weeks when she was taken away and she has a nibbling problem like she is constantly trying to suckle – and she is 2. As long as it is not hurting anything, I would just let her do it.
